Love is the purest form of energy and birds are the purest form of living beings. Therefore, had always wanted to “photo-sequence” a full love making sequence of birds. And what better bird than a dove in love pair to offer this opportunity. Doves are rightly called the symbols of love.
This Oriental Turtle Dove pair in Manila, Uttaranchal (in April 2023) was in a perfect mood that morning. Started with the usual wink, and “are you in the mood” query. Leading to a peck and then full blown kissing sequence (beak in beak, heads tilted, eyes closed et al!). Foreplay done, they proceed from a gentle love making to an excited state and finally a delirious state!
I felt like a voyeur having witnessed this! But was a happy and grateful voyeur!
