Guwahati.

Guwahati is a large and busy city now. Not many are aware of some paradises around the city. Two of them that I explored were Pobitora Sanctuary and Garbhanga Sanctuary. Pobitora is famous (or rather not much) for its highest density of Rhinos. It is also a great place for seeing some water birds like Northern Pintail (I very unluckily missed the Baikal Teal which had taken “leave” for that very afternoon that I visited!), Grey-headed Lapwing, Pied Hornbills, and Bengal Bush lark.
