Kashmir is a paradise in itself and the birds seem like angels in this paradise! I had limited time and so focused mainly on Shankaracharya forest area in Srinagar for the Kashmir Flycatcher, Budgam (a dense wooded forest area about 1.5 hours drive from Srinagar) for the Tawny Owl, and the beautiful snow-clad mountains and meadows of Yousmarg (about 2 hours drive from Srinagar) for the Collared Grosbeak and Kashmir Nutcracker.
