Mangalore.

Mangalore is not a usual destination for birding or wildlife. However it is a great place for seeing the very shy Grey-headed Bulbul and the beautiful pairs of Grey-bellied Cuckoos (and whose females are much prettier as a rare exception!), as well as surprisingly the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher colour bomb! And then Jerdons Bushlark and starlings, barbets, bee-eaters and thrushes like Blue-capped Rock Thrush and Orange-headed Thrush. One day is good enough unless you want to enjoy the sea beaches and sea food there!
