Open Challenge to find the “Open Bill” in this photo without enlarging / zooming first! 😊. (But please do zoom later to relate to the narration below…)
This is a good example of what happens to a birder in a tiger reserve! It was at Tadoba tiger reserve (buffer zone) in May this year when I saw the Asian Openbill from afar. It was not just the bird - but a perfect “frame” (that is a hint if you have still not zoomed!). Problem was I could not get down from the jeep nor the jeep could go any nearer. Worse of all, from the sitting position in the jeep that “frame” was just not possible. So only option was to take a chance and just lower the camera from the jeep and adjust it in the right position with no direct visual image on the screen and then hoping it came in the “frame”. Luckily it did!
