Sikkim is one of the most visited states for birding in North East, and rightly so! There are many geographies here (East, West, North, South Sikkim - not that difficult!) to visit. I started with Zuluk in East Sikkim. Bordering China (and my mobile operator charged me unfairly for a China connection!), and with snow clad mountains to view from a height of about 15k feet, this place is a birder’s delight as one travels up and down the long, single winding road. Robin Accentor, Dark-breasted Rosefinch, Monal, Himalayan Buzzard, Black-faced Laughingthrush, Himalayan Wood Owl, Wallcreeper, Chestnut-crowned Laughingthrush were some of the birds I got good photographs of here.
