There is no greater joy than watching young cubs of tigers in the wild! The cubs are “cubs” till they are about almost 2 years old when they look almost like adults! Had some great sightings of young cubs / tigers (sometimes with their mother) at Tadoba and Kishanpur (Dudhwa).

The forest with the highest probability of seeing a tiger is likely to be Tadoba, a two hours drive from Nagpur. It has a large core zone area with multiple gates (Moharli and Kolara are the main ones), and several interesting buffer zones spread all across. I had the good fortune to get some fabulous photographs of the legendary Maya here, while she ruled the territory.

Apart from tigers, Tadoba is a great forest to find raptors, bears, wild dogs, deers, and leopards!
