Tansa.

Tansa is a large forest area with small hillocks and lakes, about 2 hours drive from Thane in Mumbai. Most of Mumbai’s water comes from here. Not many places to stay here and hence a day trip is advisable. The most famous birds, that I too went here for, are the two Owlets. Jungle and Forest!
