Umred.

Umred Karhandla is another tiger reserve close by to Nagpur, about an hour away by car from Nagpur airport. There are 2 main gates here: Karhandla and Gothangaon. The tigers have started becoming more popular here, with F2 tigress giving birth to a litter of 5 cubs! I was fortunate to get them all in one frame. A sudden chance encounter with a brave leopard at Karhandla side was another great moment! The lake at Gothangaon side is soothing to the eyes and to the body in summer (from the cool breeze). Not many options nearby for lodging but some basic facilities are there near both gates.
