Had never visited Bihar for any wildlife photography before - normally the life is “wild” there but not the kind for us photographers! Visited West Champaran and Valmiki Tiger Reserve this year. It is a beautiful terrain with small rivulets and rock beds criss crossing across the forests. Did not find the tigers but found the Amur Falcon family (they migrate in large numbers here every year post monsoons), Dark Sided Flycatcher, Black-backed Forktail (after trekking in deep tiger forests along the river side in ravine), Tarai Gray Langur. Definitely will be visiting more here in future!
An unlikely destination, which is fast gaining traction, was Bhagalpur in Bihar. Known for the storks, especially Greater Adjutant, White-tailed Stonechat, and the Gangetic Dolphins (extremely difficult to photograph - and had to process them a bit). In addition found many Munias and a close shot of Tricoloured Munia!
